I love part 1's pacing in the anime, if only David Production took over One Piece.. lol jk I've loved Toei since Dragonball they turn up like no other when they wanna especially when its the animator Naotoshi working on the scene (he did the best scenes in DB Super too)

Nah you right, David productions is arguably the best aside from Ufotable (although they’ve got their own issues behind the scenes) but TOEI is amongst the worst in recent years, they’re nowhere near their glory and golden days when they worked on the DB franchise, and you could tell ever since they did DBS, not to mention with the TotallyNotMark situation.
