Grisha was able to "see" Zeke, because he was "seeing" the memories of Older Eren. Not once did Grisha mention Eren because, he was experiencing Eren's Memories from Eren's POV. Look at everytime Grisha was interacting to Zeke, Eren was always behind him looking at both of them.

idk i still don’t think eren is still doing evil shit. they clearly keep saying how the attack titan can SEE the future. keyword. eren is just eren like he said. eren is a slave to time. he has to be a set point in life if the past happened that means this future happened. and the future will happen no matter what. maybe this is some doctor strange shit where this was erens only path to get what he wants. i hope this gets a happy ending but i don’t see it happening 😂

This is true but the fact that there’s no middle ground or forethought to his actions is a problem. Eren and Zeke are extremist where one wants to destroy the world the others thinks it’s better to just die off, the scouts had the plan to do a mini rumbling and while everyone’s shook the could build relationships with other places plus get better technology. This would allow them to be a proper country and nobody would ever mess with them because they can destroy the world but Eren said fuck that.

Makes so much more sense now. Now that i re watch S3 i see its Eren Yeager talking to Grisha. They even show him for a split second. And Eren asking Connie what Sasha's last words where was him confirming what he already knew. This is very deep.

Story wise this episode doesn’t tell you eren is the only one who forethought any situation? if the past happened because the future happened, that means the future is set to happen. Erens titan can see the future. You think Eren, the only one with an upper hand of how everything is gonna play out hasn’t taken an eternity think about his actions anything? remember eren saw these memories in s3 he had YEARS to think about the future he saw. i’m not a manga reader but it’s honestly making sense to me, this has to be a doctor strange “1” moment, i feel like the “paths” are just different futures. Eren saw every possible future, i feel like this is the only one that eren saw the most peace with… is what i feel is happening here. i stole this comment but its super usefull. So in order to avoid any confusion regarding the time travel mechanics, I will break down what type of Time travel we're dealing with here. AOT operates by a particular type of time travel where it's almost impossible to change the past even if you somehow go back in time. And any change that you tried to cause was always meant to happen in the overall timeline. Here time is a fixed circle, not a stream. We may see Eren meddle in the past but that was always meant to happen. This calls into the question of the existence of free will in the world of Attack of Titan. The Attack Titan's ability is to receive the memories of its future inheritors. This was hinted when Kruger mentioned Mikasa and Armin towards the end of S3. Keep in mind, they can only view these memories but can't interact with them. So how was Eren able to meddle in the past? Well, he had 3 perfect conditions: 1. ⁠He had the ability of the Attack Titan 2. ⁠The ability of the Founding Titan 3. ⁠He was also in contact with someone with royal blood AKA Zeke. After Zeke tapped Eren's head, they were able to view Grisha's past memories with Eren using the power of the coordinate. They were freely able to view the past as if it were through a one way mirror. Now if Eren had any other Titan other than the Attack Titan, he would only be able to look. But since Attack Titan can see forward in time, Grisha can use this to see Eren's recollection of the same event that he's currently experiencing in real time. So this mean that whenever Grisha can see or hear Eren, he's actually recieving a brief future memory from Eren's POV where he can see out of his eyes and hear his words. That means he is seeing himself from a 3rd perspective. Then if he responds, his response is simply part of the memory that Eren/Zeke are viewing, allowing for a two way communication through time. Also Note that everytime, Grisha sees Zeke, Eren is always standing behind his dad. So whenever Grisha sees Zeke, it is from actually due to the memories from Eren's POV
