It’s funny cuz I’ve always thought that asta and yuno have always had the healthy rivalry version over the toxic rivalry that naruto and sasuke had for so long like their personalities are similar to naruto and sasuke in a lot of ways but yuno doesn’t look at asta as inferior to him or beneath him which sasuke always kind of gave of with naruto he acknowledges asta from jump and recognizes him as a worthy rival he always gives him his respect even tho asta is my favorite black clover character we shud really appreciate one of the few healthy rivalries in anime since we’re so used to the naruto and sasuke or goku and vegeta where one always feels the other is inferior this is mutual respect

I knew wellz was gone mention En from Hunter x Hunter when Luck used that scouting technique lmfao that's what it reminded me of too and his lightning boots was OP. I agree with you guys Asta and Yuno's rivalry is perfect because at the same time they want the best for one another and are genuine friends. Naruto and Sasuke rivalry was toxic.

Okay guys, you realize Naruto and Sasuke's rivalry isn't SUPPOSSED to be super healthy, right? It's about Naruto trying to bring his traumatized and manipulated friend out of the darkness. It's about Sasuke not being to completely cut off the ONE person he still considers his greatest friend (which he admits). It's not supposed to be about mutual respect or acknowledgement (at least not on both sides). The struggle and downsides of their rivalry is part of the reason it's so great. Not mention Naruto and Sasuke are better developed characters compared to Asta and Yuno anyway. Like, I like the rivalry between Asta and Yuno too, but I don't see how having no conflict or downsides to it makes it better. The struggle and PAIN in Naruto and Sasuke's rivalry is what made it so iconic.

I mean everyone kept calling Naruto's and Sasuke's toxic, which is only looking at it from one angle. I also noticed the difference in their rivalries, like anyone else. Seeing Yuno respect and admire Asta was probably the most unique aspect of his character for me, and I really liked that about him. It just sounded like people were using Asta and Yuno's rivalry as soem sort of "standard" of what shonen rivalries should be. Simply calling Naruto and Sasuke's rivalry toxic and nothing else is dismissing a lot of thinsgs. Heck, I'd argue that their rivalry is more wholesome than Asta and Yuno based on all the emotional struggle the two overcame and how they ended up.
