As you see Ashoka drop the sabers, she does this because she knows that she needs to fake her death. So as a sign of "being dead" she leaves evidence as though she died in the wreckage. Yet, she still believes that her master is dead too and not the evil that she was told by Maul.

I’m gonna go against a lot of people here and say that it’s definitely fine to watch the movies first and then the shows once you understand how they fit into things. The storylines about Rex and Ashoka continue in the shows but the not the movies, so make sure to watch the shows at some point to get more of that and be caught up when the new shows come out. Rebels specifically has more relevance to the main story and to the Mandalorian show, the Bad Batch is definitely more of a spin off. But both Rebels and BB are great.

In order to see what sets up the Ahsoka live-action series, along with Maul, Obi Wan, Vader, and Rex, Rebels is a must-watch. There are definitely a lot more filler episodes in that show but there are also some of the best Star Wars episodes period. Even if you only watch a select list of episodes it will bridge the gaps for the new Disney+ shows.

Rebels is a must if you want to continue Ahsoka's story along with Maul and even Vader. Just make sure to get a list that doesn't have filler.

Yeah y’all gotta watch rebels, so many of the shows in the new content Yall talk about will have rebels characters in it. Not to mention the greatest star wars villain that isn’t a force user. Grand admiral Thrawn, he is a crucial character to know, that’s who ahsoka was looking for in mando season 2

Definitely gotta check out Rebels after you guys finish the movies and the Bad Batch. Rebels continues the story of all the characters you guys are talking about, and it’ll tie in directly to the Ahsoka show when that comes out

If y'all want to get some of the story beats for future shows and some conclusions you have to watch rebels at some point, you can watch it without the fillers tho because it did have some meh episodes

Yeah you guys need to watch Rebels it's really important. Maybe someone can make a list for all the important episodes or something. You guys would be skipping so much of the stuff you guys like and a bunch of set up for future shows.
