Timeskip is definitely gonna be insane. But people need to realize the anime is weekly and the manga is monthly. However a lot of the anime canons good arcs do have some hints and setting up to the crazy manga stuff to come. But also a lot of character development and abilities etc. And introducing new characters and even seeing our old ones too.

Naruto as a series is probably the longest running franchise (aside from DragonBall) that I’ve ever had the pleasure and fortune of experiencing and growing up with since it debuted in mid September 2005 on Toonami, been with it ever since. Naruto as a character, with his birthday being only 3 more days before mine, (although in a different and fantasy-based time period) he’s probably the most relatable, or at least one of the most relatable young fictional characters, personality wise, that I’ve ever looked up and inspired to Morally speaking, so when he first became the Hokage or rather when it was first revealed to us a few years ago, it was to show to never give up on your dreams and always try to be the best that you can be but I never would’ve imagined that achieving those dreams would be not just hard work and maintaining it but at the same time become completely Mundane to the point of depressing and just not what you expected it to be at all.

So just to give you fair warning: Boruto’s series of events that you guys are just about to embark on and what you just saw at the very beginning as a flash forward, Shippuden only took about a couple of seasons in a total of about 50 episodes to get to that point, whereas Boruto hasn’t even reached that point yet. Now while it does get legendary for one particular arc in the 50s to the mid 60s, it goes completely back downhill from there, even where it is and stands right now in the 180s. So.....yeah, just be prepared and brace yourself for that in the name of your patience. That’s all I can say.

Yo wellz hyped now but i see alot of him saying "yo this shit trash" lol. That 1 scene at the beginning is why 90% of people watch boruto. The other 10% watch for the lame and boring as story. The only good parts are the manga canon parts.

Fun facts: This first opening is done by Kana-Boon, who also did opening 16 from Shippuden. And I know you guys watched HxH in sub, but Gon and Denki share the same voice actress for the dub. Also, Boruto used the same move on Iwabe as Sasuke did against Kakashi during the bell test (starting at 19:00). He mirrored what he did exactly. React to the anime canon episodes as well. Theres a couple of them you could skip too but 80% of should be watched. Ones right of the bat that is the ChoCho stuff and i think could also be skipped is the Shikadai arc around the 40s? But its short and you are watching 2 at a time so idk up to you. And the other is one with Konohamaru and this chick way later on. But imma be honest i like most of the stuff beyond episode 100 too. Some of it is just one off episodes but it shows more of the new people in the academy and they are interesting and powerful and will be really cool to see how they are shown later on and in "boruto:shippuden"

This might help you guys out in the future at some point however you guys are watching it future boruto episodes are still coming out in dub so I would go to viz media.com and buy set 5, 6, and 7 to continue in dub

Definitely watch the anime canon episodes there’s still episodes classified as filler and listen to “most” people when they tell you to skip something cus it will prolly just be kinda boring. I’d still watch the filler episodes just don’t react to em 😂 plus there a list you can search online that shows anime canon manga canon and filler episodes

Lmao for the people that think they are really gonna enjoy this, stop fooling yourselves. If it’s a lil slow or feels like filler they’re gonna be quick to shit on it, like sasuke’s arc at the end of Naruto. And sasuke’s arc was better than a lot of boruto😂🤦🏿‍♂️. I see them enjoying the manga canon tho.

Just follow the anime cannon episodes, but skip 42-47 it’s so boring and pointless really and is only mentioned once in the manga arcs. But watch all of the other anime canon eps on the list

It’s also kinda funny that the only good things in this show so far are things that kishimoto wrote, like the beginning part, the sasuke reveal,the boruto movie, and the time travel, all written by kishimoto, and the rest just feels like typical naruto filler

this is a list to watch episode 1-16 (ghost arc) 18-25 (Gaiden arc). Hidden mist arc (26-32), Genin graduation (34-39). first missions arc (40-42). Byakuya gang (43-48). Episode 49 and 50 is up to you guys. episode 51-66 (chunin exams). watch episode 70 (Metal Lee). Skip 71-92 (Mitsuki arc) the arc is worth the length to me but that arc is up to you guys. then 93-95(parent and child arc). episode 96 watch. then 98-105 (curse mark arc). 104 and 105 will test your patience lol but push through. then 106-111 (Mirai arc). Then 120-137 (timeslip arc). now finally back to manga 141-151 (mujina bandits arc). 152-156 (good transitional episodes). Now back to juicy stuff 157-177 (kara actuation arc). then even more juicy Vessel Arc (178- and then I don't think you really need to skip from but we'll see). Only on 185 at the moment

Bro its called duty. Naruto may not have fun and sometimes it sucks, but he prob loves that everyone relies on him and he has a purpose. Naruto never give up and achieve those dreams is great but him being hokage and everything is easy and no work is naive. Even though its not naive because he can make a thousand shadow clones and literally be done with his work within an hour and be around his kids and shit but lets forget about that so we can have some conflict for boruto. Honestly they shouldve time skipped further to where sasuke and naruto are dead so stuff like this wouldnt happen.

Didnt Ohnoki die in that mitsuki arc but in canon material he’s still alive? Like in the Shikamaru novel which takes place after the mujin bandits arc. Yea they shouldn’t follow this list either. The only anime canon they should watch are the ones that tie directly into manga material

in my opinion i say skip until you guys get to ep 18-23 than just follow the manga cannon episodes after that 51 to 66 then skip to episode ep 141 -151 then skip to ep 181 - 184 but you guys would have to watch it in sub after ep 66 since there's only 105 episodes dubbed right now

Boruto is currently 7 years old at the start of the series, they are still in the academy, after the first couple arcs, it will have a timeskip of about 5 years to when Boruto and his Team 7 are all 12/13 years old. The timeline is, currently we are 10 years removed from the war, Naruto and Hinata had Boruto when they were 20 years old (so very shortly after their marriage and the events of the Last movie). Currently Naruto is 27 years old, at the conception of Boruto's Team 7, Naruto will be 33 years old. Kakashi is 48 years old, so everyone from that class is about the same age.

Please consider 4 episodes a week, this shows pacing and plot becomes incredibly mundane and stupid for the majority of the time, 2 episodes a week would just kill the hype for both you guys and us tbh.

Deadass it's not even legendary, PLOT WISE, cause that's just the movie. Episode 65 is a modern day classic of animation, but none of Boruto's anime original story could even be passed of as "ok".

I think you should watch a combination of anime original episodes and ones from the manga depending on what story they are telling at the time. Some of the episodes are from the novels. They’re broken up into very short arcs. So maybe you can watch and skip certain arcs.

damm the dub is cringe af lol, honestly I would of just done sub, its just an overall much better show as a sub imo and the sub really isn't that hard to follow, so I recommend yall switch if yall can or at least try it out for a few episodes I promise yall won't go back to the dub

Tbh, i think you guys should just watch it all the way through because the manga begins at the chunin exams and if you start there then you won't have any backstory on how he got to that point. And if you wanna be real eipsodes 19-23 the Naruto Gaiden [Sarada's arc] is the first set of cannon episodes. Dub or Sub, both are fine to me but its your preference. I think it's worth it to watch the whole thing
