If Yamato stopped naruto from transforming they most likely would’ve been killed by orochimaru and Yamato cuz they really wouldn’t have been able to handle them

Ya'll all making valid points and arguments but im with pat and jerry on this one. There was plenty of time to intervene and stop naruto. Tbh the entire time while naruto went form 0 tails to 1 to 2 to 3 and so on, all of yamato's thought sequences were just him marvelling over the chakra and over naruto and saying shit like "oh this is what it looks like" . Like not even one thought about oh shit i need to stop him, or how do I do it, or anything about oh orochimaru is here. He wasnt being careful of orochimaru or kabuto. Dude was just careless and distracted acting like he was part of the audience. Tbh yamato aint even half the man kakashi is, this coming from someone who isnt even much of a kakashi fan. Yamato was overhyped in the beginning like sai. They got nu'n.

For once, rob is actually right in this one, for the most part at least. Saying Yamato just stood there and did nothing is not accurate, Naruto's transformation happened in seconds, but i understand u can get it wrong because how the episode was dragged out. And yeah, is not like Yamato could just jump in between Kabuto (Who could go 1v1 against Kakashi at that time), Orochimaru (Who killed the 3rd Hokage) and a unstable Naruto (that will attack u too btw) to stop the transformation (Kabuto just got a little closer to him and got fucked up), And again, yes, they sent Yamato because of his skills, he's the only one that can stop the release of the Nine tail fox, last time that happened where Kakashi could stop it, it was a LUCKY SHOT... that plus there was no actual threats around, Deidara at that time was already fucked up so Kakashi could Focus only on controlling the situation before it got worse.

Like bro. Fuck kakashi's paper seal or Yamato's 1st hokage cells. Sasuke gave naruto one look and shut his nine tail ass up.

Bro not true. If you’ve seen the whole of Shippuden you know how fast it is to suppress the chakara. Naruto flung Orochimaru very far back. Yamato could’ve suppressed Naruto while Sai and Sakura fought Kabuto. It’s that simple

Rob right he can't just jump in with Orochimaru and Kabuto there. Naruto could attack him too and He don't know what Sai might try do. In that moment he couldn't just jump on recklessly at all. Plus he knows he can still stop him at a better opportunity at a later time

That’s invalid. There was a perfect opportunity when Naruto flung Orochimaru into the forest. Sakura could handle Kabuto while he deals with Naruto. Also, later on Naruto could’ve went 6 tails which would make the fight significantly harder

No bs I forgot how extremely annoying it was to watch the transformation episode, they literally dragged the first episode to show naruto in cloak, pan to kabuto smiling, pan to orochimaru, pan to yamato, sai and Sakura looking worried, then pan to naruto again and repeats the cycle, thank goodness they don’t drag episodes like this in the future

Probably at the first tail Yamato thought it's just one tail and there's no need to rush things, he's been told that with 1 tail he's still conscious. I feel like you should consider the fact that the second and third tails both came out at the same time, he went from 1 tail conscious straight to 3 tails unconscious in seconds.

For all the people saying that they needed naruto to go four tails, are you guys just saying that because you know what happen next? Cause if you are watch without looking forward, cause all of the characters on that bridge can't see the future, then your arguement is flawed. Yes, They said Yamato is the only one to contain naruto if he goes 4 tails, but they also said don't let this nigga get to 4 tails. Yamato never made attempt to stop or check naruto at any point. I think that is the point that pat and the others are making.

tbh yamato could have tried to stop naruto before he reached 4 tails, like jerry said he had sai and sakura that could have helped him hold off kabuto (when orochimaru got flung) that was ample time to stop naruto, but what rob isn’t thinking about is what’s gonna happen now? now that naruto lost his consciousness he’s gonna be even more violent and now it’ll be even HARDER for Yamato to stop him and now yamato doesn’t even know if he can count on sai now seeing as how he would’ve left sakura to fall so now he has orochimaru, kabuto, sai AND naruto to worry about. So i can definitely see why jerry and pat were saying that he could have stopped naruto before any of this happened, rob also isn’t fully wrong, yamato was sent on this mission with them because he’s the only one that can stop naruto if he reached 4 tails but like pat said jiraya and everyone told him to TRY and stop naruto before he reaches 4 tails. (I’ve watched shippuden so ik what will happen but im thinking about how rob and pat don’t know what will happen so these may be the thoughts they could be thinking)

They needed naruto in four tails mode to fight Orochimaru. And Orochimaru didn’’t take that long to walk back. The anime just extended it as usual.
