Glad you guys are enjoying the show. I do highly recommend watching the show on Crunchyroll or somewhere else. Idk what service u guys are streaming this from but the translation for what they're saying is really cringy and isn't doing the show justice imo. Maybe look into it if you have the time? Btw, the Interhigh is a tournament in itself as well. It does get you seeded in the spring, but the winner of this tournament goes on to represent Miyagi prefecture at Nationals. There are two tournaments yearly, as far as I know, the Interhigh, and the Spring High.

This tournament is basically a bonus if you qualify for nationals (season 2 tournament is the qualifiers). If you do well here and qualify for nationals, then you can get a by on the first game as well as get easier match up (easier path to the finals)
