Lore/history mentioned in the episode is so awesome. Lord Petyr Baelish was recalling the tourney at Harrenhal in which Prince Rhaegar Targaryen, who was already married to Elia Martell, defeated Barristan "The Bold" Selmy in the finals and rode past his wife to give the crown of winter roses to Robert Baratheon's betrothed, Lyanna Stark. Barristan recalls how Rhaegar loved to sing and hated killing, which is the opposite of his father the mad king.

Hey guys! I feel so bad for the new young king. Cersei is just manipulating him and putting him in impossible positions. She basically setting him up and playing dumb. He have absolutely nobody to get genuine advice from that will help the kingdom.

Too much info. Let them watch and get what they get. You're giving away info we haven't been told in the show yet at this point.

Is Rob alright? He seemed quiet to me.

So what you're saying, Jerry, is that Dany needs better advisers? Hmmmm... if only there was someone smart that could advise her... someone with some experience running a volitile city/country.

I'm like 99% sure he was being sarcastic. And i'm pretty sure the age of consent in that world is under 16 years of age. But the whole situation is still beyond creepy.

ikr. Tommen had potential but he became king when all the good advicers were gone, Tywin, Varys, Tyrion even Littlefinger. He's ruling a sht kingdom blindly.

You saying all this with the knowledge of what’s gonna happen. You have to put yourself in RTTV shoes. I can’t even explain why without spoiling but the decision they talking about is killing the former slave. Nothing to do with letting the masters have slaves. Idk where u got that from

Remember Rob. Tens of thousands died because Rhaegar Taryaryen chose Lyanna Stark at the Tourney At Harrenhal. Men. women, and children. Many more since because of the current war of 5 Kings.

That final scene wasn't Dany's fault. It was a bunch of rich ass slavers getting revenge on the person who banned slavery. I'm mean sure, her actions made her a target, but she wasn't to blame for that final scene. She knows the masters are evil but refrained from having them all killed because she doesn't want to be seen as a butcher. She doesn't want to reopen the fighting pits because it will essentially be unofficial slave trade. Sure, the people fighting in it will SAY they are free, but who knows what ways their masters bought them off/threatened them. Dany is in a really tough spot. She's trying to be an objective ruler, but she's dealing with people who don't WANT her rule. Honestly, putting away her dragons was the worst decision she ever made. I sympathise with why she did it, but the dragons were the only thing keeping the masters at bay. I know its hard to sympathise with her here, hell I didn't when I first watched this season, since no decision she makes has good results. Tries being a butcher? Her advisors see her as her father. Tries being a diplomat? The masters see her as weak and strike back. Tries being full justice? Her freed slaves lose their avenging angel and hate her for it. The city is in a state of civil war. There is no ruling it. I originally blamed the writing for the way nothing worked out for Dany, but it was pretty ballsy. The hero tries being the hero and it all goes to shit anyway. Sometimes you can't change people, fix a problem or save the day. Such a frustrating truth to deal with. Dany refuses to play at the masters level, trying to take the high road, but it has so much backlash. I think the only person who could handle this city would be Tywin or Litfflefinger, and that's only because none of them give a crap about slaves.

Low-key that football thing that DC said was a good ass analogy for what's happening in Meereen. Also, the fact that the Sons of the Harpy are willing to go out in the open and kill is letting you know that they're desperate and that Daenerys' method is starting to work
