Lion King is the best disney movie EVER. There is no 2D or 3D disney or pixar movie that beats it. Scar is the more iconic villain because to this day he is more quoted, sells more merch and is more popular and liked.

The only other movie that gives Lion King a run for its money in my honest opinion is Prince of Egypt, it’s Dreamworks, but the soundtrack is just as goosebump worthy as Lion King. Both amazing soundtracks that can’t be beat.

Personal opinion but as I got older Lion king dropped in rank to me. I feel like it lives in that nostalgia light because it was the introduction for most people. I love the movie and think it’s great but that’s just my outlook on it.

I was so looking forward to seeing you guys watch this again, I'm telling you, you'll really love: The Prince of Egypt, Brother Bear, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Princess and the Frog. I am looking forward to seeing you react to Tarzan and Beauty and the Beast, and actually Sleeping Beauty is kinda slept on especially in case of Maleficent as a Villain.

Love em all! I could put Hercules #1, but I can recite every single line in the Lion king before it happens, even at age 32. Gotta stick with the goat. Oh, and Lion King 2 has better songs IMO. The actual story is pretty trash (Max Goof voicing Kovu is also a wild switch up lol)

Now that I can finally watch this... I GOTTA say, Aladdin 3 (King of Thieves) might be THE most impressive and slept on Disney movie from my childhood.... Holy God... I just remembered my favorite sleeper kids movie... SCROOGE McDUCK! Idk if there were multiple, but the first Scrooge M.D movie that featured Huey, Dewie, and Louie (their first appearance?). That movie goes hard! Also! Rescuers Down Under (Yes. The sequel) went dumb crazy with the animation for that time period, too! Sorry... I'm geekin' with these reactions, as well as X-Men 97 taking us all back to childhood.. Honestly, you guys can't go wrong. Keep it up! (Last one... Swan Princess??? ANOTHER ONE... Quest for Camelot??? Okay, I'll stop... 😆)

Yo, also... I BET money, they liked this movie better than the rest up to this point, which is why they watched it BEFORE almost all of the movies they released before now 😆 Not a bad thing, just a fun thing to point out. Also, Beauty and the beast has some of THE best songs in Disney... but it doesn't have more than 3 or 4, which makes it kinda lite... Then you realize MOST Disney movies only have about 4 songs throughout, and that Hercules and the Lion King have 5... The Lion King remains the King of Disney movies BECAUSE it has THE best soundtrack, hands down. Sleeper soundtrack: Oliver and Company.

To answer your guys question lion king didn’t make the song the lion sleeps tonight it was made by the tokens in 1960 or 61 I believe which was an American cover of another song from a bit before that
