The only reason I could think of Aladdin running was that he was trying to prevent the kid from using the magic tool too much because he's still thinking about what happened to Dunya, the princess that got messed up because of the dark metal vessel she used

Jerry to answer your question about why Aladdin ran away like that, I checked the manga and him doing that is anime only. In the manga the pirates escaped by holding a random person hostage, idk why they made this change.

It feels like thst because it's just the start of the season, it's the same like when the first one started Aladdin meating with Alibaba and their trajectory. But previous season ended in a peak so starting again slow it takes time to build up back again
