TBH I like the mechas. I think they're raw and dope as fuck and imo add a layer to this amazing anime. It's not a robot anime, it's a ninja animated series that has mechas and btw just because they have mechas, doesn't mean they're always going to fight in them. You telling me, if Higan runs into Sai without either of them wearing a suit, they ain't scrapping? Cause they definitely are. I don't think every fight, is gonna be a mecha fight.

I think yamagi's move with based on an external threat factor to the existence of Japan. It's a brief shot, but that military dude looking mighty american general. What if America's nuclear aresenal was threatening Japan. His questioning was oddly specific to Japan ceasing to exist, and it leads me to believe something tangible was actively threatening the country. Toonami definitely going to piece the story full together, but I'm so curious what plot twist they got up their sleeve.
