Today (evening)  I will post a massive sketch dump for the $5 and up patrons

Also, yet another thanks for all the support for an undeserving clown. ;v;

Also, I feel like I should be using my patreon money to buy something art-related, to improve my technique, or help me along with my goals. It IS what your patreon money is for, after all, not just paying the rent. I got the idea when I saw one of Reiq's posts about how he's using his money to buy a bunch of Copic Markers to make more art.

But I'm already fully equipped program/hardware-wise.

Hmm...... Perhaps I could use it to buy some art lessons from certain artists I especially admire. Or buy a portable Cintiq Companion, or something similar, so I can get out of the house more. Anybody have any suggestions? Where would you like to see your money go, in regards to my art/this patreon?

Also, next month I may lower my tier prices a bit. $5 will become $3. The more patrons I get, the more I can afford to drop the prices.

I don't think you really need any new tech. A new fancy tablet is nice, but it's not gonna get you results, in my opinion. Investing in software is a nice idea, maybe to just try to learn something new, like, 3D modeling or animation? Maybe that would inspire your creativity? You could subscribe to tutorials or to buy new books or art books to study from. I used New Master Academy for a few months, and I learned a lot from it, even though it's based towards traditional artists! a lot of good info about color theory, color harmony, ect. I personally would suggest buying some art books, maybe concept art from a show or movie you like, or the works of an artist whose style you want to emulate? I personally believe doing that could really expand your horizons a bit, and give you new art goals to achieve! However, I will say, the money we give you is yours to use, in exchange for rad art from you. We can suggest stuff, but it's your money to use as you see fit! Keep on truckin', Jess! -AnderPander

I wouldn't worry about it too much, we aren't sponsoring your education, we are supporting you for doing the awesome stuff you do that we love. As for suggestions, if you have any nearby museums or zoos or other such places, a trip to them is a definitely good idea. (One of the highlights of my time in college was the trips we took into NYC to visit Moma and the National History Museum and stuff...) a cheaper alternative to the Cintiq companion might be a little sketch book. I have a little moleskine pocket sketch book I use for doodling and some layout work. These aren't pics you could easily share without scanning and heavy clean up - but it is great for you to noodle about or do light practice. It is also wonderful for loose ideas... Scribbling down an idea for a head or helmet or weapon or pose that popped into your head. Then when you are home you can reference it for a proper drawing. The only other note you might wanna try - especially in sketches and doodles, is pushing a bit further into extremes. Weird proportions, strange angles, even try pushing some of your kinks a bit further - not suggesting you do stuff you find gross, but one piece of advice a teacher gave me that I always go back to was that when drawing (especially experimental sketches) to push things as far as you can - once you hit the point where you have gone too far with it, you know your limit and can dial it back and comfortably play there. Just a thought, heh - regardless, keep up the wonderful work and always remember folks are rooting for you.
