It just felt... desperate. Trying way to hard to lure people in with immature "mature" comedy. I also felt like a lot of the worldbuilding didn't really add up. Beautifully animated for sure, but story-wise it felt like like it really didn't "believe" its own premise. Not sure if that makes sense. But yes. Angel Dust is cool, because he's unlike any other "stock gay character" you see in shows, much less animation. He's allowed to be a total bitch.
