1 year of MPP! Here is some of the first developmental art and how the game project started! (Patreon)

I released the first build of MPP just over a year ago now!
I thought it might be interesting to show you what the game looked like 1,5 years ago or so.
I had worked on another project with a coder behind-the-scenes for a while and made some pixel sprites:

But this project fell apart because the coder couldn't prioritize the game anymore and I felt fed up with working with others because I had ANOTHER game project fall apart before that behind the scenes...
I ended up doodling this princess-Emelie stuff without any direction because pixel-art game stuff felt fun, and I started feeling inspired by the setting. I was sort of getting bored of drawing furries in a modern setting and liked drawing fantasy, and with these pixel-art pics I combined both!
Then I heard about Ren'py and played some visual novels made in it, and I felt passionate enough about the princess-Emelie idea to reimagine it as a Visual Novel with illustrated art!
So I drew and posted the Emelie paizuri/massage art here on Patreon as an image-set, while working on the game-aspects in secret behind-the-scenes... so that if the game was too difficult to realize, I could scrap it without letting anyone down. But Ren'Py was fairly intuitive and the game came together without too much hassle! Then I posted it on Christmas and now it's been my entire focus for a year!
It's kinda fun to look back on these images. Emelie looked less bubbly and her tits were even more huge than they are now lol. I feel like she looked hot but I think the overall personality and feel of the current Emelie is right where I want it!
Rolf was barely developed and Billy looked extra harmless because making angles was tricky for me with pixels haha.
When I decided to make the game a VN I just overpainted these assets here. But I reimagined the UI completely since the new UI was based on Ren'Py's settings.
Anyways I thought it might be interesting for some of you to see this! :)
PS: These " screenshots " are just mockups. The game was never playable in this state. And the UI was just made for visual design, it was never functional.
