Weekly Update - Stream Sched + Happytown (Patreon)

Howzit guys! How is it already February? I feel like I should've gotten so much more accomplished... though I have been BLAZING through these commissions - thank you so much to those who came to visit the Comm Cafe. On to the updates!

Happytown, Zootopia - a comic

For almost a year now, I've been wanted to write a comic that featured the lives of young Nick and his struggling yet hopeful single mother in the Savannah Central neighborhood of Happytown, a place the filmmakers abandoned with the older scripts. 

Nick's childhood fascinates me a lot because, just from the little glimpses we got, his home looks a lot like my childhood one - a small brick townhome in the city - and I wonder what his life was like. And while everything centers around his backstory, I'm honestly a lot more invested in the life of his mother and what she might've had to go through to raise him (as well as the various mammals he would've been in contact with throughout his life as a city fox). What friends did he have as a kid? What were his strengths? Where's his dad? What was his mother like? How did Zootopia's broken system affect her views, hopes, and fears for her and her son's future? And how did his experiences as a child create him into the cynic he probably still is today?

It's a comic I really wanna do that comes from a raw place, but I know I've got a ton to do already. I just wanted to share my idea out there and hope one day future me will have the time to pick it up. Maybe someday <3
