I actually feel really bad for Sir Jeoffrey (the guy Christan killed). He was completely okay with this wedding. He wasn't happy watching his lover openly flirting with someone else, but he knew his position was secure. I think he honestly was just trying to let Christan known that they knew and, in their minds, even the status quo (you know who Laenor's paramour is and now we know you are her paramour). I don't think he really meant any harm. Just saying, if we keep their secrets, we can all get what we want (they can marry and fulfill their duties and we get to keep our lovers). He just didn't know how upset Christan was. Doesn't help that he insinuated that their duties are to their lovers right after Christan 100% betrayed Rhaenyra by telling Alicent. Also, idk if you noticed, Lax, but that at the end was a shotgun wedding. Instead of having the full week of feasts and tournaments, the King forced the septon to marry them that night and get it over with after what happened.

Man, dope reaction as always! Ser Joffrey, Laenor's lover, wasn't messing with Criston nor was he against the marriage; if Laenor married with the princess, he would one day become King Consort, so he would be in the most secure and powerful place and no one could do shit if he had a lover. So this marriage was actually their best prospect for the future. He didn't know Criston was in a crisis; Joffrey only wanted to say "Hey, it is was it is, but if everyone minds their business in this marriage, everyone gets what they want. So let's just keep our mouth shut and don't interfere with each other". Of course Joffrey wasn't happy watching Laenor flirting with Rhaenyra, but he knew appearances were more important, so everyone could get what they wanted. He didn't know Criston was in a bad place mentally. Rhaenyra was actually mad at Daemon for leaving her like that in the pleasure house and dares him. Back in episode 2 Daemon brought Mysaria, his whore lover, back to Dragonstone and made up that story that he was going to marry her just to get Viserys' attention. So now Rhaenyra uses his words against him (marriage is only business) and dares him to kidnap her, take her to Dragonstone and marry her, because she knows that he talks but he wouldn't do it. Mind you, Daemon is an ambitious man, but his feelings for Rhaenyra are real. Man, poor Viserys he just wants to have a good time but every time bitches spoil his fun. First episode he threw that tourney and it ended in tragedy, third episode he organizes that hunt but they all tried to manipulate him with politics trying to put baby Aegon on the throne and he couldn't even kill the stag in a good way. Then he just want to throw the biggest wedding for his favorite baby girl and bitches ruin what would have been the wedding of the century. I feel so bad for him. He ends up rushing the wedding ceremony out of fear something else goes down 😭💔
