Idk man I don't blame Furuya, and don't think it's a big deal at all, especially if its mild like he describes it to be. Thinking of one game costing them getting eliminated and losing their coach before nationals, I'd fight through it too. Plus Furuya still feels like he has a lot to prove. Obviously Furuya isn't comparable to these players, but the Michael Jordan flu game as well as Klay Thompson's performance with a busted ACL are examples where big time players fought through sickness/injuries to help their team. Furuya is the best pitcher on the team, and him coming off the field in a major game due to a small injury would definitely hurt the team's chances of winning

I dont know if you've recorded the next episode yet but if you haven't, there's a pretty annoying cliffhanger between 33 and 34. If you want I'd recommend watching together for a double reaction. Anyway, glad to see your eye is better. I really like this game too. I think the fact that Seidou and Seikou both have similar goals in getting their coach to nationals makes for a really interesting match up. And as a former pitcher myself, being a pitcher with an injury and still wanting to play is such a real thing and usually pitchers know it's selfish but its an instinct that's hard to ignore especially when you're able to hold back a bit so as to not continue to hurt yourself but still make some good plays. Furuya knows his limit and he's not at it yet.

All of this. HE cant just get off the field because Eijun cant come on that early. They have to be mindful of their rotation and a pitcher coming off early forces the other pitcher to stay on the mound longer. I do believe Eijun and Furuya are equals, just stronger in different areas. Also Lax gonna have to get used to players playing through injury when you watching sports animes xD its kind of a staple haha. Its not even anime, this is real life and there ARE some injuries you can push through for a few plays.
