You're wrong on one point. Yeung is the only one that still has the Fall/Spring left, if the Third Years lose this Summer, they're done and have to retire.

YO we finally get to see the DEMON. Ace of Diamond is so great because every team that is notable has amazing characters. Not an understatement when I say that ace of diamond really has the best all around cast of any sports anime. How they have all these amazing characters and likable teams just make you love it that much more.

The invitationals is like nationals they had to win a tournament before that to make it to the invitational. So the fact that they got top 8 at the invitation (nationals/koshien) last year is a big deal (:

Yeah unlike in Haikyuu they are not allowed to play in the tournaments anymore after their Summer season even if they are still in school. Or more accurately, it's more strict that they must focus on their studies, whereas in Haikyuu they could make the choice to still play.

Just an FYI, Invitational is the Spring Nationals. So they made it to the Quaterfinals at Nationals. Seido beat them last year Summer tournament but lost the Fall tournament against them.

That's right. Typically they only play for 2.5 years for high school baseball. Third-year would have to retire when they are done with the summer season (remember the 1st semester starts in April in Japan). Though Yeung is a second year right now, this summer is considered as his 2nd full year because the one semester he spent in Taiwan high school by the academic term difference (Taiwan has the 1st semester starts from Aug/Sept)
