If you need any help with your new aquarium, drop me a message :) I have a 600ltr tropical planted tank and a 280ltr marine (salt water) tank. You’re right in your thinking though, go as big as you can afford/fit because bigger tanks, issues happen more slowly. Ppl often think a little tank will be easy, but the fish poo to water ratio is not good In little tanks and fatal water problems happen quickly. Words to the wise: you’re not a fish keeper, you’re a water keeper. The fish look after themselves. Haha

Might take you up on that I originally wanted to do marine fish but was worried it was too hard. I didn’t want to do fresh water because I thought that was boring so tropical seems to be the way to go. I’m aware I have to run a fish less cycle first but quite unsure what the best type of filter would be to get and all of that jazz (: as for plants we wanted to do a planted tank but were told we need a c02 tank or something and weren’t sure if that applies to every plant or not (:
