I helped set up a friends home studio over the weekend and couldn't help but produce something on their copy of Ableton Intro!

The whole process was kind of like a mini exercise in limitation. I didn't have any of my samples, VSTs and Intro Ableton is limited to simply 8 tracks at a time! My project files usually have 50+ audio tracks so I think the toughest part of the whole experience! (the lack of a parametric EQ didn't help either...)

It forced me to get creative and move forward with my ideas and push the given tools to their max! I made the majority of the synths by bit crushing and arpeggiating Addictive Keys presets, the only VST present on my friends computer!

I recorded and sampled a test recording of my friend playing drums and sped them up a ton to make the crazy breakbeats. and layered them over a CR78 drum kit which is also stock in Ableton (which is so rad since it's like my favorite drum machine ever!)

The whole skeleton of the song was worked in over like an hour or two (I think?). I transferred the 8 tracks to my own computer and spent the next few days putting that russel polish, samples, tighter EQ + Mixing and a snazzy guitar solo. I bumped the track up in speed and mastered it yesterday,

here's the finished piece <3
