I haven't been able to escape LO-FI beats, I feel like it's become the global "Default" in any social situation and definitely feel like for better or for worse– it's become one of the defining sounds of the 10s.

I've got lots of thoughts (and critiques!) about the genre. I grew up listening to a ton of Nujabes, and even though the genre often relies on full on rips from obscure audio sources, I can't help but to chill out when I hear cool and fuzzy recontexualizing in it's purest form.

That being said, this track is all original recorded instruments and samples, so I get to partake in the same chill–fuzzy beats without actually STEALING from artists!

There is however am interpolation of a certain Koji Kondo melody. Do any of you guys recognize it? ?

Oh also pardon the very rough mix down! I haven't really quantized anything on this piece and have been experimenting with off beat grooves and playing everything by hand! (IT SURE TAKES LONGER!)
