American (Hershey's) chocolate tastes like actual vomit. I found out the reason why too - it's something they do to process the milk that goes into their chocolate that has the same chemical as puke - ugh! Have you seen Japan Crate? I used to subscribe to them years ago (even unboxed on my YT channel lol) they have a candy box, a noodle/ramen box, a kawaii box, and a beauty box. If you love Japan and tat (I do) these boxes are awesome! PS. I appreciate the Ina Garten ref lol

I'm sorry but "Eurocrem" sounds like a title given to an porn vid on a European adult video site...or literally slang for jizz lol. I tend to side eye "crate" subscription boxes as I feel that they generally put the most "western" style snacks and sweets in them as opposed to some of the more traditional sweets, a perfect example is how you don't tend to see pre-made mochi or anything with a sweet bean flavour to it in Japancrate style boxes. Although with that being said I don't really like red-bean flavoured stuff and packaged mochi is absolutely vile, mochi really does have to be made fresh or at least somewhat fresh to be tasty. Although I really feel that if these crates/boxes are supposed to be a "taste of a far off land.." they really are kind of a cop out, it's like if someone gave you "real" turkish delight to try but they only gave you rose and lemon flavoured turkish delight despite the myriad of flavours, full of gelatin when traditional turkish delight is actually vegan. I think there might be more cultural variations in savoury food?

Artificial vanilla can take on a cherry-like flavor, especially if it's on the cheaper side. This may explain why you two tasted a fruity flavor when you ate the animal chocolates.

Yeah, they really sent you not very good ones. Išleri and Eurocreme chocolate bar are very shite and also really cheap. I don't know who choose the products but they are obviously not doing their job properly. :) They've only sent you Smoki from savouries... truly shame. There are some good ones here, honestly. Also, sidebar, 'Nova' is the feminine form of the word 'New' on serbian. :) That's a cute moment if you didn't know :D Anyhow, greetings from Belgrade, Serbia! 💙

Oh, and also, I couldn't believe you've heard about "A Serbian film"! Yeah, it is quite controversial and... well disturbing. It was banned even here for a while. I haven't seen it either, but some critics praised it and thought it was a strong movie with a lot of undertones and metaphors. And generally, people either say it's some good (though very heavy shit) or they will look at you and never speak to you again if you even mention it :D So I dunno... but my jaw literally dropped when Olympia said it. That's some impressive shit from you, no kidding! Cheers!
