i was doing cartwheels over the weekend (my brother told me i couldn't so i proved him wrong - pulled a muscle in my arsecheek), but i find it much easier to do them the way olympia said originally going down forwards with two hands, instead of going sideways

Looks like nova is a right dominant tumbler and Olympia left. Your body follows the direction your head is facing. To straighten out your cartwheel face the direction you want to go. Also Nova yours is good you just need to think about keeping your legs straight. I used to teach tumbling at the youth center. Olympia yours is perfect.

Looks like Nova is a right dominant tumbler and Olympia is a leftie. Nova to straighten out your cartwheel your head needs to face the direction you are wanting to end at. The body follows the heads direction that’s what was causing it to go crooked. Also think about straightening your legs while you are in the cartwheel. A true cartwheel goes hand then lands another hand then you land one foot then the other foot. I used to teach tumbling at the youth center. Olympia yours is perfect.
