Creating a Character: Maverick (Patreon)

Maverick is also a character that underwent a few changes until we found the right look for him.

Starting with a sketch from our character designer, we experimented with a number of different options for his head and wings. 

The last image you see here is the design we settled on at the time. Once it was time to make the sprites, I thought using a different head design would work better and we ended up making Maverick as you see him in the game. 

We never ended up making a corrected design image for Maverick using the same head design he has in Angels with Scaly Wings. Once we got started on Angels with Broken Hearts, it was time to give him an update to do just that and bring him more in line with other character designs like we did with Sebastian.
