Tier Pricing Changes! ($1) (Patreon)

tl;dr: I'm changing the price of the $1 tier to $3 because $1 results in most of the earnings turning into fees. Current subscribers at the $1 will not be affected and can continue paying $1 until they cancel.

Hey guys! I hope you are all doing well today. I have an important update on the pricing of the entry-level tiers, mainly the $1 tier, so if you are at a higher tier, this won't affect you. 

I am increasing the price of the $1 tier at its current level of benefits to $3. I thought about this long and hard and increasing it to $3 makes the most sense to me.  Before you get mad at me, please continue reading 😔

Currently, every pledge of $1 costs about $0.45 in payment processing and Patreon platform fees, which leaves me with $0.55 in earnings. With that tier, I'm mostly enriching the card processors further at this point. And I am confident enough in my work to value it a little bit higher at $3. There will still be a $1 tier, but it will serve as a tipjar with no access to stories and other benefits. 

For those of you who are currently subscribed to the $1 tier, I am not booting you off the tier. If you were subscribed to that tier before the 15th of November 2022, you can continue paying that price and enjoy the same benefits. Essentially you will be grandfathered into that price until you decide to cancel your subscription.
