Alex drawn as Tokio (Tokyo) from Netflix's La Casa de Papel! (AKA Money Heist)

Story attached below.

-----

It wasn’t difficult, taking over the Royal Mint of Spain, it was in fact, pretty simple. The first thing they needed to do was create a distraction. An easier way to create a distraction was not to do it yourself but to have someone do it for you, and in this case, a bus full of high schoolers in the Royal Mint on a school trip was the perfect thing to occupy a majority of the staff. With the distraction part taken care of, all they had to do was walk in.

Walk in, act like any other visitor to the mint, placing the bags with the majority of the weapons through the security scanner, keeping a few guns on your person. When the security scanner sounds its alarm, pull your guns out on the security staff before they pull theirs on you.

Held at gunpoint, the security staff won’t be able to do much but to hand over their weapons and do as they’re told. Hold the school children and staff hostage, dress them up like the rest of the heist crew, and the authorities wouldn’t dare enter, giving them a lot of time to print as much money as possible and carefully execute their escape.

Simple, right?

Simple.

“Aw yeah, nice one, Tokyo!” shouted Nairobi, a petite and short raccoon that was one of the tigress’ heist mates.

Tokyo was what her heist gang called her, there were no real names involved in such a high-stakes operation. Everyone involved was called by a different city, unrelated to where they were actually from. Tokyo had never even been to Tokyo before; however, her heist buds claimed that she gave off that “Tokyo girl vibe”, whatever that was supposed to mean.

Tokyo had just found the control room for the printing mechanism in the mint, getting a few pats on the back for finding the place and going inside without using any force on the doors.

“Thanks, Nairobi.” Tokyo smiled, “The computer is over there, you get started with the printing, I’ll go down and get one of the managers to open the vaults. They should have a stockpile of printed cash that we can load up.”

The raccoon smiled at Alex and quickly turned her gaze to the computer, the machine that was going to grant them all their riches. “Come to mama! Let’s make some money, baby!” She practically purred her words as she fast-walked her way towards it.

With a smile on her face as she watched Nairobi, Tokyo turned on her heels, her black boots squeaking softly against the flooring, and she left the money-hungry woman to her devices.

They were all money-hungry, really.

After grabbing one of the mint’s managers, the tigress forced him to open up the vault. Once he was done, her other, more buff and tough heist mates escorted him back to the other hostages. Tokyo told the manager to unlock the vault, but to not open it, she wanted to do the cool part on her own.

Taking two steps forward towards the silver reinforced titanium vault door, she let go of her gun and let it hang on her shoulders with its strap. She reached both hands forward to grab the oversized vault knob and pulled it to one side. The vault made a large metallic creaking sound coupled with clicks as the door’s internals worked. The vault door then automatically, but slowly started to swing open.

Weirdly enough, the vault door didn’t make a sound as it swung open to reveal a white fluorescent-lit room with piles of money stacked on shipping pallets.

The light from the vault bounced off the floor and the walls and lit up Alex’s face, just as a grin spread across her lips, cheek to cheek.

“Nice one, Alex!” She patted herself on the back, using her real name for once since no one was around. Sometimes you had to say encouraging words to yourself.

Her hands fell to her gun and she gripped it tight, still smiling as she stepped into the vault, skipping almost, towards the stacks of cash just sitting there, primed for taking.

“You’re going to be rich,” she chuckled, kicking her feet happily.

“You’re going to be fucking rich.”

Her excitement was cut short however, when she heard a gunshot echo from upstairs. With a disgruntled look on her face, she gripped her gun tighter, grabbed her mask from her hip where she had it tucked away, and grumbled.

“What the fuckin’ fuck!”
