Tier 1+ 🌱 Detroid Become Human Making-Of (Patreon)

Hey folks!
For today, have a making-of of one of my older zine illustrations! (2018)
It's from Detroid: Become Human. 

The first few pics show the concept sketches. I was testing around in which environment and feelings I wanted for Alice and Kara. I wanted it cozy, comfy and safe at first, some ideas had Luther involved. (I still regret a bit that he isn't in the final pic though, I really liked him and them as a trio.) The scenery later changed to a less save, every moment prepared to run - situation.

I ended up with Kara (before meeting Luther) and Alice hiding in a car. In the watercolor version (pic 8) I wanted the scene to be in the morning. It's the unedited pure scan.

In the last pic (pic 9) you can see the edited version from Glas! We decided to change it into a night scene, so she can play with the colorful night lights and raindrops on the window, to give the pic more interesting details to look at.💙 Also making Kara looking more protective.

I think this zine project was one of the very first pieces where Glas and me worked together on a bigger fanart like this! 🤗
