Any wishes for changes? (Patreon)

Hey everyone! We just got an exit survey that somebody left because it was too hard for them to find access to their benefits (tier 3). We don't exactly know what that means, but we would love to provide you with a good service for your money and meet your expectations & help. So please don't be afraid to write us DMs! Answers might take a while, but they will come for sure.

We cherish you greatly, because you make it possible for us to walk on this kind of road. So our community is very important to us.

So if you have any feedback, notes or anything else you'd like to share with us, you can do that in this post! We can't guarantee to be able to change everything (Patreon options are limited), but we gladly listen and at least think of alternatives if something is problematic with you.

We're also thinking of opening up a discord server somewhere during next year, with separate rooms for separate tiers, but also as a general server to hangout with likeminded people and to share your own content, too. Would you like that? Or do you think the discord market is already pretty saturated? Or maybe you don't use discord at all? Please let us know your thoughts!

If I had to assume, it was because they couldn't find any sort of archive for your content, like most Patreons have and lots don't (both done in various ways through various platforms with various reasons). But that's just my best guess, if there is one I'm completely oblivious and don't listen to me.

It's also possible that some old posts have insufficient tagging. I remember that I searched for Tier 3 content and some old posts(1 or 2) were hidden because of missing tags. Additionaly Patreon acts a bit slow on my devices(but thats their problem), so it could be disappointing if filtered Posts were incomplete.

I wonder if that person made the same dumb mistake I did. When I saw the words "Tier 3 Preview!" on the thumbnail collages, I thought that meant you were going to post the tier 3 images at some later date. Only later did I realize the thumbnail collage was previewing the images... in that post, and I just had to look UNDERNEATH THE PREVIEW to see the full images, hahaha.

The above post mirror my thought pretty much perfectly. An archive would be great for viewing old post because while patreon is great for staying up to date with creators content its not very goid for scrolling through old art. I remember resubing after leaving for a bit and it was very difficult to scroll back to older post. I would suggest something like Dropbox.com or Mega.nz but both have minor security issues if you are concerned with someone downloading and reposting exclusive contnent. As for the discord server, I personally enjoy being able to share and discuss the content being posted so a discord server sounds great. I still remember the server from back before rhe patreon was a thing and was sad when it shut down.

Thank you so much for the feedback, also regarding Discord! I'm so unsure about an archive, I feel like it makes it really easy for people to join for a month, save the archive and then leave. Most of our artist friends in fact do it the other way around: They don't post content at all at Patron, only monthly links that will be invalid the next month, so that you only get the monthly content you actually payed for. We thought about doing that, too, at the beginning, but figured that this way would be the most user friendly way. I only know some sort of archives from people who do animations or games, but haven't seen an artist doing that! I get why this can be handy, though we're really afraid, too... Do you have examples of how other artists do that, maybe?

Thank you for that feedback! Do you maybe remember the tags you searched for? We try to tag everything well for that exact reason, I get why this can be very bothersome!

When I initially joined, I wasn't sure where to post my request, but once I got the swing of it, it was pretty easy! Maybe when someone joins a specific tier, you can have cut and paste instructions at the ready to send them via DM? Something like, "The first week of the month, please send me your ideas, and your idea will be displayed in the post for next month's request." A discord server might be fun! But I admit I get overwhelmed by chat apps pretty quickly.

It's possible I'm the only dummy who made this mistake! I wouldn't change anything unless you hear it from other people too. Maybe the collage can just have an arrow pointing down to the thumbnails like, "view them here!"

I can't think of any suggestions as I feel that my sub is well worth it 🙃 i like the idea of a discord! idk if i would use it myself because i discovered i have a weird anxiety about talking to people online, but to each their own!
