Afternoon everyone!

A few of you messaged me about payment/page issues (I'm still catching up on some) but the TL;DR is among many of Patreon's backend changes the past few months, one was an unannounced change of the payment processing center from California to Ireland for what I assume is a better tax break for them. This meant that some banks got processes automatically flagged or blocked due to a new overseas transaction, so if something didn't go through correctly or you were missing from accessing something that's likely why.

In better news, I've gotten three separate games completely recorded and outlined for videos now. Oni, a very blatant GitS and Akira inspired anime action game that was created by a defunct studio and now powers GTA 5. Stasis, an iso adventure game that's VERY blatantly inspired by a few scifi movies though I was playing this more to get on-boarded for the second game. Finally, Legion the Legend of Excalibur, which is a scuffed PS2 game by ex-Westwood staff that started making a console RTS and then ended up with a Diablo/Dark Alliance/something.

The cover tricked me as a kid and it's actually haunted me for years because I never finished it. I decided it might be fun to finish it and it could make for a more quick nostalgic video. I remembered it being weirdly difficult, but couldn't remember many specifics besides two boss fights.

It's dogshit.

Finishing it became borderline torture, so I feel compelled to make that the next video. Sins is still background recording (as will it ever for a while) but I think it'll be followed up with Stasis since a lot of people have asked about that as well. Oni will be coming a little bit later down the road even though the game is recorded, since I don't want to be Bungie maxing too hard just yet.

Thanks as always for your support!

I remember Oni. I think it was the first game with mocap animation for me, so it blew my mind. There was a guy who tried to recreate the Oni engine and add some features to it, like bullet time. The project was called "Konoko Payne" (of course it was). But I can't find anything about it anymore. I wonder what happened.

I thought Stasis was alright when I played it. The atmosphere was pretty good iirc. Haven't tried the second one yet.

On payment processing, I remember all my transactions failed to send for a few months. Hope you've been getting all payments lately.

Ohhh yes, Oni! I had a demo of that when I was a kid. That game fascinated me but like with many demos I had I never actually got the game. Did finally play it just last year, and I'm glad I did.

SICK, I was hoping you'd cover Oni. That's some baller cover art, that should be you standing there.

"Oni" made by a "defunct studio". Ah yep, this again. Can't wait to see how this one ties into Marathon too, haha.
