Apologies for any bad formatting since I'm typing this on mobile. The good news is that I didn't have covid, just a particularly nasty flu I'm coughing out the final bits of. The bad news was the coughing was so bad over such a long period that it caused that lovely herniated disc in my spine from four years ago to flare up. That was a period where I was going insane trying to get a video on Pathologic 2 done since I was seeing the game fizzle out in real time while I wasn't able to sit upright. Luckily I don't feel that kind of time pressure, more just shitty it's been over a month since an upload now.

I haven't pulled the trigger out and converted my Remington into a cane again just yet, but it's a pretty nasty return of it. The first day I knew it was definitely back over the usual pain flares I was full on mollusk mode on the floor and thankfully it's improved from that. It's a matter of doing the same physical therapy stuff I've been doing all along, though I've been having to intensify it between a lot of rest to try and get through it faster. My hope is in a week or so I'll be in a spot where I can get back to editing properly when I've done some adjustments to the office where I can work without needing to sit in the chair. It ended up being I didn't get a Dead Space review key before launch either, so even had this hadn't happened, I wouldn't have made it for launch. Which is fine since it means I can take my time and go through New Game+ and all that.

So the current hope is that the video will be good to go in mid February. I can still do some writing and outlining for Callisto Protocol since there's a lot to compare with Dead Space (though that also got a NG+ mode I doubt will be worth recording) but proper editing would be too slow going right now compared to trying to get this healed and then back to it rather than trying to do it in 5 minute bursts.

I'm really sorry about this. If it looks like things are worse than I thought and I might be out of commission for longer, I'll pause the Patreon just like last time this happened. Obviously February credits will be combined with the January ones, though I'll use the earlier set of questions for the Dead Space video and put out a new post for Callisto.
