Hope your Christmas (or whatever went on for you this month) went well!

May New Year's Eve go smoothly for you all too. It being on a Friday is especially dangerous, but I think we're all survivors here.

So I've gotten some good information over the past week when I wasn't running ragged from everything else going on, so here's the imminent schedule. The Homeworld Cataclysm video will be done around mid/late January, as now that a lot of people got introduced to the first game I can get a bit more into the story of that and how Cataclysm does a lot of clever things with it. I'm still waiting on some more bits and pieces of help on it, but January is going to be a busy time regardless of that situation. I'll be working on the Total War Warhammer 3 in time for launch, and there's going to be a lot to do on that front. While it could be possible to have something out on both Cataclysm and Deserts of Kharak back to back, I think at this point something would get sloppy, or I wouldn't get a video to the level I'd like to. So Deserts of Kharak will be on hold until after the Warhammer 3 video at least. While I'm also playing some RPGs to get footage, the actual project state of them is still a ways off and I'm not planning on touching them in an editor until Warhammer 3 is dealt with as well. While I had some juggling periods in the past few months, for this I'm trying to focus it down more since the Warhammer 2 video was a big undertaking. While I doubt it'd be nearly as long since it doubled as an "introduction to Warhammer Total War" video there's still going to be a lot to cover as far as new factions go, not even counting anything else that's been reworked like sieges or diplomacy and a lot still isn't public yet so I don't have a lot to go off of as far as preparation goes in that. I just want to keep that block completely clear in case of unforeseen consequences.

I know January is usually where I'll take some time to get some things prepared since this holiday period has always been busy for me, but this year it might end up being later in February or March since the stars aren't quite aligned on my end. Cataclysm is still fresh on the brain and I really want to make sure that's what follows up the remaster video since coming back to it later would be much stranger. It was originally intended as an expansion to the original game and things got out of control with it enough for it to become standalone, and maybe it could generate some enthusiasm for it also being remastered even if the source code remains lost.

That's all for now, the work continues.

Enjoy the rest of your year!

Eric

You’ve been busy this year, maybe you should take a breather and tag out with Seth 😉, haven’t seen much of him.
