Next Video Gets Medieval (Patreon)

Good Afternoon!

The next video was a tossup between Kingdom Under Fire: The Crusaders and a much more obscure one I finally managed to find, but KUF has pulled ahead. When I had asked a friend how long the campaign was, it turned out he was referring to a single campaign and KUF has four of them. Oops. To make matters more complicated, this is one of those games that got a sequel a year later that's basically the same game with some improvements so I'm going to need to play some of that since what little I had already actually addressed several issues the base game had. 

It's a weird story with this one. Crusaders is a sequel to a PC only Korean RTS called Kingdom Under Fire: A War of Heroes, which was a PC only Warcraft kind of clone. So naturally the sequel was an Xbox exclusive with radically different gameplay taking place 50 years later, followed by another Xbox only game just called Kingdom Under Fire: Heroes. Which takes place both at the same time, and as a prequel to Crusaders, but after a War of Heroes. The Xbox only games just got their PC release last year. 

Kingdom Under Fire 2 is an MMO.

Of course it is.

Anyway I was hoping to be able to squeeze out two videos this month, but with the added layers I wasn't expecting with the game (including some censorship sprinkled in too) I'd wager it's about two weeks out from now. There's going to be at least a regular Halloween themed video, but I'm still deciding whether the Big Adventure Game Video will be right around Halloween again like last year and making it an annual thing. It really depends on how far I get with the project since I think the game is longer than Druids, but that's sort of a technicality since Druids' length depends on you not knowing what the hell to do to make it take so long. This one has its own unique challenges, but some assets are already prepared so I can move ahead with editing some parts on it. I'll know more as we get more into October but I just want you to be aware I'm also in a fuzzy state of where things could go since there's a lot of weird timing coming up. Rest assured work is getting done, it's just a juggle of what will be coming out in what order. It'll be a lot more understandable when you see what that game's all about.
