Update #42 - Back in the Swing (Patreon)

Evening everyone!

If you missed it, the Metal Arms video is now out. Still awake from back related insomnia and delirious, I decided to release it at 5am my time completely forgetting that time zones were a thing. Big thanks to the Greatdictator who worked with me to put together the brief SFM bit! I'm actually nearly caught up on email (only 30 left!) at the time of this post, and I can already tell that having a video on a console exclusive game has opened a Pandora's Box when it comes to requests. I'm learning phrases in Japanese I couldn't imagine before.

In the meanwhile, a lot of people asked about the "weird guy game" from the beginning of the video, and it's called Paratopic. It's extremely short to the point I beat it the first time in around 40 minutes and I didn't plan to do anything with it, but after replaying it three times now and seeing all there is to it there'll definitely be something on it in the next few months. 

Currently, I'm recording the Finnish game, which most of the YouTube comments believe to be either My Summer Car or Max Payne. If you've been here a while or looked at the giant list you'll know that it's the ancient woodland survival game UnReal World. While it has an upcoming patch (which are few and far between) I contacted the creator to ask about it who informed me it wasn't worth holding off a video for since it mainly affects companion NPC AI and the other changes besides those are minor. So it's something to mention, but it's not a PROGRESS DELAYING PATCH LIKE ANOTHER GAME AHHHH

Elite Dangerous has a patch coming this week that revamps the "new player experience" thanks for the nature of the game, you can't have multiple character slots so the only way to actually see the damn thing is to create a new character and destroy your old one. I don't have plans to do that with where I'm at, though I'll likely need to burn my current character when recording is "probably done with" so I can then record the new tutorial stuff to have at the beginning of the video. That's going to be strange, and it's also a great example of why Elite should let you have more commander slots. I have no idea whether my recording for the game will be done by October or September now, since the engineer grind is truly daunting. Still no matter what the video is coming out by the year's end. I'll sink the channel like Cortez and his ships if it doesn't happen.
