I've debated how to handle this over the last hour.

First is the good news. The good news is that the place is going to work out and the office isn't going to be an acoustic nightmare.

The bad news is I'm going to be moving there sooner than expected. Over two weeks sooner.

The original plan was to move in during the start of the fourth week in August, now it's moved up into being the beginning of August. While starting to get a new place set up quicker should be nice, I'm not prepared for it. I've still got things to pack, need to get the furniture squared away, paperwork dealt with, movers contacted, and all the other fun essentials that come with moving. I'm in the last stages of my soon to be old workplace, and to top it all off I'm still working on the Gothic video.

The plan before was simple. Have the Gothic video finished for Friday the 27th, then spend my newly freed time focusing on the move and working on a video for a shorter game for August 10th. After that I'd be pretty focused on moving, and was planning to settle in by early September for another new video then. This jump ahead requires significant schedule changes, so this is what the poll is going to decide.

As I expected, the Gothic video is going to be focused on the story and world building more than usual due to it being an RPG. As of writing this, I have about 15 minutes of coherent footage done. Some are in sections that I haven't organized the final place in the timeline yet, but if need be I could string it together without it feeling too out of place. I'm not going to have as much time to work on the video tomorrow as I had planned, so I could simply finish it on the usual upload date while having the video be shorter than I thought out. I know there are some people who prefer the shorter 10-15 minute videos anyways, and this would be close their range, so this would be preferable when they don't like the longer videos as much.

The other option is to simply delay the video. Next week instead of work-video-moving, I'll only need to deal with video-moving so I'll be able to finish what I had started, and add on a bit more than I had allocated time for. Tomorrow was planned as a mostly free day to work on the video, but now I've got a lot of calls to make and places to visit so I'll need to spread that time across the weekend and early next week. However, by then I'll have more space cleared up than I had planned for so I could work on the video more than just the "mostly free day time", and have the PC and recording equipment packed up last. For those who enjoy the longer videos that go more in-depth this is likely your preference, and those who were on the credit tier for July would still have their names in the video despite it being released in early August. This was supposed to be out in July after all.

This is an issue of inconvenient timing. If I had known things would need to be moved ahead earlier in the week I could've made adjustments to have it out on schedule, but this isn't the case so now something has to be compromised whether it's the release date or the video length. I'm really sorry to do this. I knew that August would be slower for videos, but I didn't anticipate a shift like this throwing me out of my plans in a crucial time. Normally I'd just delay the video a week, but you're all helping to fund these videos so you deserve a say in how I proceed. I'll go with whatever option is most desired.

Take your time. You've never comprimised on quality before, don't start now - I want videos but I want them to be your videos, not [only half of you]'s videos.

You take your damned time sir, we love your content because it's your content, not just because it's content. I know I'm a small backer, but thank you for caring enough to put up the poll! One of the most genuine patreon creator's I pledge to.

Take your time, i prefer waiting a bit (while knowing whats going on) then having a shorter video personally.

Do what you have to, we'll be here.

A 1 week delay is nothing if it means a longer video. Take your time for sure.

Do what you have to do. I moved this year and that too was moved a few weeks earlier than what my wife and I expected. So, I feel ya. It caught us completely by surprise.

Mandy I don't care if it takes months for you videos, I just appreciate the time, effort, and obvious passion you put into them. Take as long as you want bro

I think most People who Support you do it because you deliver a certain quality and prioritize it over quantity. Take your time, especially in a situation like this.

Take your time dude! No rush.

Quality over quantity!

One person voted for the other option so far. One.

The wait is worth it. Take your time.

Just to add to the mob, take as much time as you need, good luck with the move!

Its okay to take time to do some personal stuff, especially when it's a pressing matter like moving. So take time, move, get settled and then release a product you'd be proud.
