Yo check out my fine china -

Anyways, here's a quick update on the YUGO + some extras and whatnot.

Long story short - YUGO is approaching its completion.

Here's what's left to do:

1. Weld O2 sensor (so the car knows it's polluting well)

2. Brakes (optional)

3. Fuel behind the passenger's seat (safe, probably)

4. Hook up remaining small electrical stuff (using ancient obscure connectors)

5. Clamp remaining radiator hoses (So the car stays cool af)

6. Create stepdown thread of 3/8 NPT Female to 14 MM male (what the fuck)

7. Refill all the fluids (I drank them, yum)

And that's about it. Seriously.

Realistically something is bound to go wrong, especially once we get it running but that's a problem for future me. I keep postponing the ETA but it's really the parts roadblocks getting in the way. More than half of all time spent on this YUGO has been finding parts, right size adapters etc.

It's so difficult to not spoil anything about the car when expressing how much I'm excited for it to get running again. I hope you will love it!

Oh yeah I also got light poisoning from working in the YUGO. It was awesome.

Don't disregard those badass skulls & bones on labels folks.

VRChat Experience 5 BTS & Extras -

On Jameskii channel I still essentially do all of the editing so here's a little dissection of the recent VRC opening.

Okay this bitch almost didn't open, I love adobe.

So the opening is based on MASHLE OP #2 and you can find the full version on YouTube.

I will probably find a better way to do side by side comparison in the future but for now this is what you get.

So, the toucan is actually made in a very interesting way...

I wasn't 100% satisfied with the shape/silhouette, so I did some modifications

As I was about to pull the next section my After Effects actually crashed, thanks adobe.

I'm gonna speedrun the showcase because my PC is shitting itself when this project is open.

So for the little colored screens I just mostly modified the original ones & tried to replicate the little "shake" and "wobble" they had, which I think turned out pretty nice overall.

The moving vectors were just simple animated solids & masks. The text actually spells out "VRCHAT" but the font is a little hard to read, so I wonder how many people noticed.

Fun fact, this YT "copyright claim" was just foreshadowing, I didn't add it after the video was copyright striked. To be clear for a millionth time, copyright strike is NOT the same as claim.

The door bit actually took forever to make because I had to time it and make it fit, especially since the door "squeak" portion was extended by me as it wasn't part of the original song.

Fun fact I got on VRC to record this tiny broll for the opening but got carried away and spent the next 4 hours hanging out with friends and didn't get shit done on the first try lol.

This section was actually PIA to set up, because originally I tried to re-create the camera movement but it was too complicated to match for multiple characters as some were in Unity, Gmod and VRChat but here's the idea -

Little cool fact: the obnoxious citrus smile animation is actually done in post. I don't have face tracking and I didn't want to bother my friends about it.

Now for the dance, this one is actually kinda goofy. Thanks to my pal Great Dog Doggo we were able to put Billy (Aniki) together with Harry Potter's 3D model outfit. It was scuffed but it got the job done.

I did have to modify the textures of course. I figured it'd be easier to do it this way than messing around with post production effects, especially due to it being a PC resource hog.

Now here's a thing...

Due to how the model works in Harry Potter game the robe actually has a massive gap, that was really out of place in the opening.

So I had to manually animate a solid mask to make it fit.

I don't know how else to put it but for the little omni man bit I actually had to trim his dick. I really don't know how else to explain it.

The logo was pretty simple. The Japanese text stands for VRChat as confirmed by the awesome Japanese folks from VRC.

I think that's all for the opening?

My browser is actually lagging really hard rn from all the cached gifs & images, so I'm just gonna post it as is now. Make sure to join our discord, there's bunch more stuff and I'll do some Q&A in there in the future! See you soon...

PS - Bandit says hi
