Also I'm feeling pretty confident to draw backgrounds for most pieces these days ( I usually end up choosing not to because im LAZY) But I still struggle with how to go about colouring them.

I struggle choosing colours that go well with the character in the scene but also doesn't blend the character too much with the background.

BUT I WILL LEARN SOON ENOUGH.
