Bandit gets his vibrating foot rest as the pups play with Uncle Stripe!

Just some innocent and fun art to cap off the month and for a show that deserves a bit more exposure.
Bluey is an Australian cartoons that I have a lot of respect for so the themes depicted here are within character.

(Bluey: Season 2, Episode 20 "Tickle crabs" was one of many inspirations)

Heres the line-work for the original to show how it was pulled off.

I don't know why, but ever since you've posted this, a lot of clips have been showing up on my twitter feed (maybe because Big Brother is watching me), and I have to say...Hm, I should definitely give this series a try! :)

That would be concerning if it wasn't such a wholesome show to check out. Content wise, things will be back to normal from here on.

Bandit sure is super attractive character among most of people. A lot of people adore him for being sweet yet teasy and playful. This show is a pure gem, and it really feels refreshing to see adult characters not being stupid or absent. Great job on mimicking the show's art style. Which software did you use for that, and which brush pen/size did you use to replicate the style?

Bandit is an amazing character who is in equal measure a great dad while still being flawed. Got to give the writers top marks for their work on the whole show. As for program. It was done in PaintTool SAI (where I do pretty much all of my line work) Which uses vector lines and easy manipulation to get everything just right. Brush size will change depending on the resolution, so if you wanted to match the aspect ratio of a TV then assume its 4k then you will need a bigger Brush for one that's 1080p. So its more about Proportion then a specific brush size because the size can change based on the resolution! Hope that makes sense!?

Yeah, he still has flaws, but i really adore how he is open for talking about that and working on that. For example Yoga Ball, or The Dump, those episodes showed that he isn't perfect but he is still actually trying and working on it, not just ignoring that, which it is refreshing to see comparing to other TV show dads,. To be honest, i got into Bluey by seeing those weird articles about Bandit being a symbol, or mans praying to be like him one day. It felt like a meme or something for me, and decided to watch it, and then i could finally understand why adults love Bandit so much. What are your fav episodes from Bluey? Mine is Copycat, Onesies, Perfect, a lot of fav eps with Bandit as a main role. Tbh, I would love to see Bandit only spin off or something lol. Oh. It was in SAI. I tried to make lineart be colorful in Clip Paint Studio, but i guess, that's the SAI's exclusive of being able to change vector line's colors. Also, how long did it took for you to create the whole piece overall? Also once again, definitely love Bandit's face expressions, you really nailed his show's smirky and playful face.

For just the line work on a single character it was very short. Only about 15 mins total if you include all the correct line colours too. Obviously there being 6 characters here, it makes it a little more time consuming. I highly recommend SAI if you want the freedom to manipulate line work after the fact with ease.
