Pawperty Damage v1.1 Update, Cheat Codes, etc. (Patreon)

Version 1.1 of the game is now officially available, on both Steam and itch.io!

Here's a quick summary, again, of what has changed...

Patch Notes

New

• High scores and Steam leader boards
• Custom character skin support

Changes

• Improved shadow rendering
• Camera is less likely to clip into the player model, at very large scales
• Target level of destruction in [i]Time Attack[/i] mode is now 100%
• Collision behavior of collapsing buildings has been adjusted to be less obstructive to the player
• Wind turbines and farms are now destructible (but will give no points)

Fixes

• UI scaling for ultra-wide screens
• Display names for Chinese language options
• Level of destruction of 100% will only be displayed if all buildings are actually destroyed
• Various minor bugs

Cheat Codes

Not all of these are new, but here is a list of cheat codes that you can enter on your keyboard during a game...

• clearhighscore – this will clear your local high score (does not work for Steam leader board entries)
• resetachievements – this will reset (lock) all achievements (only works for the itch.io version of the game)
• opensesame – will disable all invisible walls
• eatme – grows characters to twice their size (use at own risk)
• drinkme – shrinks characters to half their size
• normalsizeme – will shrink the character to a somewhat "normal" size
• bethekaiju – secret (and janky) first-person camera mode

(Note: Some of the cheats will disable achievement unlocks and high score record keeping until you restart the game.)

Extra Skin Pack

As announced previously, with the new version of the game there will also be a skin pack to add 6 new texture variations to the game's default cast!

For Steam, it's a free DLC that you can get to unlock the skins, in the game.

For itch.io, it's a separate ZIP file you have to unpack and move into the game's Skins folder, to import the skins into the game: To unlock the download, you have to pay $4, or more, for the game—which is pay-what-you-want on itch.io.

However, as a patron, you can find the ZIP file attached to this post, too!

Custom Skin Creation

To make it easier for folks to create customized character skins, you will find a detailed "Custom Skin Creation Guide" in the game's Skins folder, as well as some example and template files.

I'm also attaching a copy of the guide to this post.

Shortly after this post, I will create another one exclusive to higher-tier patrons which is going to contain a few more source files, to help with the skin creation. This will include all the textures of the existing character skins, as well as the (unrigged) 3D models of each character.
