As promised, here's the 2021 end-of-year supercut!

Depending on when you have found this project, you may be surprised to hear it's been going on for more than a year, haha.

It's always refreshing to see how far you've come – even if there are some large gaps between March and August, where I've done nothing but boring work on character models, heh.

In the beginning of 2021, there wasn't a single street, character model or custom animation, in the game. On top of that, there were hundreds of small things, changes, and fixes that got done this year, of course.


What's to come in 2022?

2022 will be the year I can release a playable version of the game, hopefully!

Here are some of the topics I want to tackle, early next year:

  • Cars (finally)
  • Picking up and throwing objects (i.e.... cars.)
  • Sound effects and background music
  • ...

Oh yeah, there isn't a single sound, in the game. That's one of the biggest problems, at the moment. I plan to look into creating some SFX myself, as well as commission sounds and music from folks who actually know what they're doing.

Also, I should finally decide on a name; I have a list of 30+ ideas of what to call the game, but nothing I'm 100% happy with, yet. I should compile a Top 10 and create a vote, or something – this is really irritating, because usually I decide on a name before putting any actual work into a game, but this time that just didn't happen, heh.

There are also a bunch of details I want to add to the city still (i.e. trees, marquees, more buildings), but first I'll have to see how things go!
