However, the biggest thorn in her side is a thief cloaked in shadow. He merely refers to himself as Shadow. Wherever a shadow resides, there isn't anywhere he cannot reach. But nor is there anywhere can he hide once Selene has her sights set. Over the years he's been one of Selene's greatest challenges to catch. Not because he is an elusive trickster. But because Shadow is a childhood friend of Selene's that chose to use his gifts for selfish purposes. A decision that fractured their relationship, and now they spend years of their lives playing this game of cat and mouse. Shadow is only growing more reckless as the years pass. Selena will never stop trying to reach him. Unbeknownst to the Rivals, something far more sinister is brewing behind the scenes. And Shadow is in the thick of it. Will Selene be able to save him? Or is he too far out of her reach?
