We watched Interstellar (the 4K UDH version) on Amazon. The run time is 2:49.

This is a watch along so you need to bring your own copy of the movie to see it, there is no PIP or movie audio. There is a visual cue off the top, a countdown to start and a timer to help you sync up.

it was an amazing thing to see on the big screen with sound. It was a masterpiece of filmmaking and story telling even when it stretched the realms of possibility. -Hans Zimmer was on top of his game when he composed the score. He actually left the track "No Time for Caution" (the spinning dock scene) off of the soundtrack release, and then added it later when the fans demanded it.

"It's not possible, it's necessary" was such a great line. For 2014, I was blown away by the special effects, Gargantua most of all. I'm pretty sure NO ONE created a better looking and realistic black hole for a movie. Cheers!

After they land on water planet the soundtrack has ticks thats simulating a clock, each tick is equivalent to a day on Earth, thats done on purpose by Nolan

I agree with goatee, this is definitely a masterpiece. I didn't care for Interstellar the first I saw it. I guess at the time, I was more into the other inaccurate action sci-fi movies. I probably just didn't get it then. There are still things we can't wrap our heads around but I will watch this on the big screen when it is shown in theaters again. The music and the look. WB made a big mistake losing Nolen. He's going to make Universal a lot of money. Nolen and Blumhouse

Been watching your stuff for a while but I finally subbed just for this. My absolute #1 favourite movie of all time and well worth the full watch. Thanks for all the great content!

Couple of points - the scientific accuracy question, minus the inside a black hole thing pretty well spot on. This movie produced scientific papers as one of its outputs in regards to black hole physics and visualising them - Kip Thorne pre his Nobel Prize in physics was the scientific adviser to the movie and he was heavily involved. One of the things I like about this movie, and it's true of basically all the movies I really love is it works on a lot of different levels, you can science nerd enjoy it, you can "space s**t" enjoy it, you can enjoy it on the basis of Coop's relationship with his daughter and a bunch more - or a combination of all of those things. You said about watching it on the big screen, firstly yes, do that but more specifically: if you live near a proper imax with a 15/70 projector or a GT laser that's got a screen over ~80 ft they'll almost certainly show this movie every now and then, highly recommend keeping an eye out if you do, I've seen it in all sorts of formats and have a 100" laser projection system at home - at home is nothing like the experience in a normal cinema but a normal cinema is nothing like proper imax, Nolan builds his movies for huge Imax screens, that's why Imax love him, and this is probably the best movie to show off why, it's really something. Tenet too by the way, you haven't seen Tenet until you've seen it on imax. Definitely worth following your nearest Imax cinema on social media and keeping an eye out. I've always wondered how many people this inspired to take up playing the organ when it was released..

I signed up for BB and BCS, got annoyed that they weren't really 'watchable' (I prefer this way much more) and cancelled on the spot. But this was an effing great reaction, so now I'm gonna resub and go watch them anyway even tho they're not syncable without shit sound.

The first thing I thought when I saw this was "masterpiece" also. A lot of people hated on this film but I thought it was brilliant.
