I love Bella's performance in this. The desperation she executed, to get Joel well again, was the backdrop to her dealing with these people? It was fantastic to watch. I loved that they made it seem like she was going to be rescued by Joel, but instead she rescued herself - savagely. I cried out during that scene, because of the brutality, but it was mostly because I knew this would change her for life. So Good. "Baby girl." She is now his daughter.
