The look on Ellie's face when Joel left her at the stable. Wow! So powerful. She doesn't want him to leave her, even for a minute. No infected, clickers, or serious threat throughout, except for the end, and then Joel gets hurt. What?! Good episode. BTW...I love the movie they were watching - The Goodbye Girl. Seen it a "million" times.

Nikki - you're not alone, I was also thinking 'what about the horse? Is the horse safe there? Take him with you!' 🐎 completely new to TLOU but am loving this; Epic visually and outstanding cast..which means I do also care about the humans 😬 thanks for a great reaction 👍

Loved the reaction guys, keep up the good work!!!!! This episode was great, I feel like Joel is more emotional in the show compared to the game, but I don’t really mind that they made him like this. My only regret is that they made him more fragile “physically” like being slower and too old, I wish they waited until season 2 of the show to make him more fragile, around the time he’s Much older and Abby finally gets introduced. In part one of the game, despite his age, Joel was a complete beast that couldn’t be stopped by anyone….Not gonna lie, I wish we could see the savage Joel that runs around with bricks and shivs going crazy taking down enemies left and right lol…I feel that it’s unfortunate that there isn’t as much action, but the emotional scenes make up for it just enough for me to still feel satisfied and excited for the next episode

I think it’s an attempt to make it feel more real. Joel in the game is almost a super hero, unless you got him killed 100 times like me. Ha!!

Josh

yeah I agree, it definitively has a more realistic tone, which HBO is doing a great job in showing..and please don’t remind me of the horrors I had to go through to complete the game😭lol

love this series. the cinematography, the sets, the acting, the writing everything is top tier. I played the first game, haven't played the 2nd yet but I feel like I'm getting the best of both worlds here because I know enough to get the Easter eggs and familiarity of the story but it's changed enough and has new stuff in it I haven't seen yet that makes it very compelling. Hats off the the cast and crew, you nailed it.

Glad you both noticed those lil "nuggets" thrown in the show :)
