I loved seeing Joel laugh with Ellie in this episode. He's letting down his guard, and the bond is growing. They are beginning to trust each other. Ellie trust Joel, and doesn't question his decisions, and Joel trusts Ellie enough now to hold onto a gun. Nice.

The guy that Steven said looked familiar is Jeffery Pierce, and he's the VA for Tommy in the game! He's also in NCIS and Charmed.
