For me personally, I've been trying to find a better option to OneHub for a long time and Patreon has it now. OneHub is expensive, a bit of a pain in the butt to use and if we can avoid using a 3rd party site, that's ideal. I will say, we are going to be moving away from OneHub 100% at some point soon.

So so true and everyone who is here and watching on patreon clearly loves you guys and the content enough to not only support but also spend money on watching and enjoying along with you guys so it be strange and just highly highly unlikely that any patreon would be doing anything unwanted with the downloads as all the people have expressed clearly but it's great that they have said they are gonna keep the onehub link for everyone to still be able to watch new last kingdom episodes and makes sense to have the entire series in onehub. I do understand that if you wasn't already much of a fan of onehub and you are paying for it thinking that it's download protected that suddenly finding out that isn't the case and people have been downloading it that is a surprising turn of events and it also seems like it wasn't clear how many people actually liked the onehub format but that is now clear and known. It just seems like if you use logic then the only people who would be able to use onehub and the download feature are gonna be patrons and if there patrons then clearly they are fans and love the content enough to pay to watch with you guys so why would they after downloading because that helps them be able to watch properly go and do something undue with the content just think about it they wouldn't now could you maybe get one person who does something possibly but highly doubtful.

I really liked the new format when watching the latest TLK episode. I will watch from whatever you choose.

I'd enjoy Patreon, but idk well how this works. I've seen others reactors using Google Drive or Vimeo. Maybe you can check those :)

I enjoyed that onehub would resize without the sidebars so I could watch your reaction and my copy side-by-side. With Patreon it's tiny and the only option I see is small or full screen. This isn't ideal for watching with only 1 monitor.

For me both are fine. I maybe prefer the patreon one because it's easier to sync. But i use 2 monitors, I can see how it can be frustrating if you can't resize it on patreon if you use only 1 monitor.

again, like I've said multiple times, it's not the people who support us, we love all of you and know there isn't bad intent... Again, it's the people who don't... I know for a fact there are people out there who rip the full reactions, it's very well known... the harder we can make it for those people to steal the better.

It's a bit early for a final conclusion, but the Patreon-player seems more reliable in terms of buffering. On OneHub I had the occasional lag... which is a pain in the arse(ling) when you just had your streams synced lol. For folks in need of pop-out-player, I can recommend "Picture-in-Picture" extension by Google for Chrome and other chromium browsers like Opera.

i've tried everything possible and onehub was the best option for what we were doing. Vimeo, like youtube, still blocks our content because of our show viewing setup ... something we will try to change one day.

I’m good with either!

For the folks worried about having to juggle two windows to keep the reaction and the source video up at the same time using the Patreon video player (especially those with a single monitor), if you click the 3 dots on the lower right of the video and select Picture-in-Picture, that PiP video is resizeable (just click and drag the corner to resize it) and will sit on top of another tab of your browser, so you can have both videos up and playing very easily. Personally, I think the Patreon player is a considerable upgrade over the OneHub player. It's faster, more responsive, and considerably less of a PITA when making small adjustments for syncing purposes, plus the PiP option I mentioned above.

JQ

Oh snap, I didn't realize the PIP works on all tabs! The Patreon player will work just fine, my vote has moved to the "whatever is easier for you" column. Have a great holiday weekend!

It's not stealing, it's copying. Often, we owned the movie and lost the copy so we torrent it, or it's an old tv show which we can't find anymore to purchase, or it's a movie we weren't going to pay to see anyway. Making it harder by blurring the movie insert just means we have to rip a copy to play at the same time (if we don't have it) Usually we've paid to see the movie at the cinema or seen it on free to air TV or someone's Netflix so we want to have a version we can play on our laptop in the corner of the screen. It's not theft if we've already paid to see it. Besides I've worked as an animator in movies for decades and have helped them earn millions so I figure I'm owed a free copy of the odd movie here and there ;)
