AEMOND YAY!!! I was hoping you’d meet Sweet Bastard Baby Monk before meeting Aemond so you could experience the !WTH! we all did! So funny because he’s a bastard of the king, so sweet! Now he is still the son of a king, but hates on bastards, and is so NOT sweet. 👁⚔️

StarBoyYem

He will always be Baby Monk first. And YES, that WTH moment was too real 🤣🤣🤣

Claire Bonang

Was so excited for you guys to meet Baby Monk! He is amazing in this. One of my favourites!

♥️the craft of this episode. Steven you said it perf, Alfred not feeling he can understand Uhred = he can’t trust him. How well-written is that?! Many stories would plot device, & not authenticly show Alfred’s heart to honor God, pulling at his doubts of Uhtred. Writing/casting/performances MAKES this show a top fav all-time. Sure they could have big-budgeted this show on HBO, but no budget could replace the craft. 🤌🏼❣️

I actually didn’t believe it when a friend of mine sent it to me lol And then I think George R Martin posted on his blog that Aemond would be played by him and he’s such a fan of the last Kingdom….. I was like of course of course!! But holy shit what?!?! Ha. Now make Uhtred a Stark!!! That’s a huge fan casting! You can like Google his name and stark and comes up all over internet. 😅🙏🏼

Man oh man, now I can't wait for next week...let just say i can't wait for their reaction. Going to watch the next episode!

I think Alfred's internal conflict comes from him knowing exactly how much he owes to Uhtred, and how dependant he is on Uhtred..as a 'godly' king he feels he shouldn't be in that situation with a heathen - it also builds insecurity & so he focuses on differences - so frustrating though! Brilliant reaction - thank you 👏

Excellent reaction guys. This second part of season 2 is among my favorites. Can't wait for you to see the last two amazing episodes.

Brian Clancy

I love the TLK fans, I noticed you’re getting much more attention here than even HOD reactions haha. Best show !

Very kind and passionate fanbase. One of few w/o toxicity.

Can we see Ubba one day?☺️

Morgan Bridgland

I genuinely didn’t put together that Osferth is Aemond until you guys mentioned it. I think I like Aemond a LOT more now. Also Toby Regbo as Aethelred is playing completely against what he’s usually cast as, which is typically the golden haired good boy.

I love this show

Battlebug

Speaking of the fake dead guy, Something I think that's done well in TLK is the supernatural content. The show is much more grounded in history than some other Viking shows and the supernatural stuff it includes is always on the edge of "Is this magic or is this explainable" like Esult healing Alfreds son, was it magic, science, or coincidence. Was Bridas mushroom vision of being with Ragnar a prophecy or was it more of a self fufilling prophecy where she saw it and then made it happen. Is the magic actually real or is it real because the characters believe its real and therefore go along with it. I think it adds some magic/mystery without breaking the immersion/believeability of the story.

Agree 100%, I also loved the way the handled those things in the show

I think Alfred's main reason for not trusting Uhtred is that, Uhtred is a pagan and will not convert to Christianity. But what pisses me off is that Uhtred accepts Alfred as he is and doesn't force him to believe in paganism. So why should Uhtred change his ways. Also I think they should tell Uhtred about Athelfled's situation with Athelred so he can do something about it.
