Last time jump of the show. We are finally in the Dance of Dragons era! I like to think of the first 7 episodes as a long prologue or a very long “previously on House of the Dragon”.

In the book nothing important to the story really happens in between the time jumps and that’s why there were so many this season. They’ve only showed all the events that set up this conflict. But fortunately there will be no more time jumps in the show as we are now in the main timeline.

I only now realized, re-watching this, that the reason why Lucerys laughed was because the servant placed a ROASTED PIG in front of Aemond and it probably reminded him of the stupid "pink dread" pig prank from when they were children lol I was so tense waiting for something bad to happen that I didn't even pay attention to what was on the plate the first time I watched

Yes actually, 6 years passed and nothing crazy happened. After Alicent's outburst Rhaenyra and Daemon went back to Dragonstone so they didn't see each other until the events of this episode

You guys haven’t seen him yet but the actor playing Aemon now is going to be a character named Osferth on The Last Kingdom. He becomes a part of Uhtred’s core group of friends.
