I had to turn my head during a scene in this Episode, but it still was a great reaction. 🔥🐉🔥🐉🔥🐉🔥🐉🔥🐉

OMG it was Misery!!! AKA The White Worm. The prostitute that Daemon almost married. SHE WORKS FOR OTTO!!!!! Wow. She LIED!!!! Wowowow she’s pissed at Daemon and lied to Otto that they had sex. WILDDDDD.

Robin Lee Melendez

Daemon definitely took Rhaenyra to the pleasure house on purpose, to ruin her. Before they got there he dropped his robe & pulled off her cap, revealing who they were. You see all the prostitutes whispering & gathering as they notice them there. I agree Daemon wanted them to be seen to compromise her claim & hopefully talk Viserys into letting them marry. Otto was just doing Otto things, of course his many spies saw them! Daemon made sure they'd be noticed. It was clear Otto was uncomfortable telling the King, I think Otto really cares about Viserys as well as his own family's power. Cristin Cole is in fear for his life. Kingsguard take a vow of chastity like the Masters & Night's Watch. On top of this, hooking up with the King's daughter is treason. Cole will be executed immediately if this info gets out.

Ps I genuinely do not feel Daemon was ill-meaning. He stopped himself from soiling her. Because having maidenhood matters until marrige. He loves her. So he stopped. Yet again Viserys is quick to think the worst of Daemon. To piss him off he just didn’t deny it because he’s so hurt. I think he wants to marry Rhaenyra. They’ve always had a bond and they made sure we knew that he sees her now as an adult. The show is constantly always comparing them is very similar people. He wants to be a part of building the family, DO NOT THINK HE WANTS THE THRONE, but Viserys always denies him of being part of the family. He’s in a marriage he doesn’t want and for so long he’s keeps asking to be taken out of it. I feel bad for him, he is a very gray character that is a “agent of chaos” But I don’t think him to be evil even though sometimes he does bad things, I genuinely think he’s being honest with his family. And if the king was smart he would let them marry because that’s the best way to keep the house strong.

Ashley

Imho If Daemon wanted to ruin her, he WOULD HAVE. But he stopped. He thought he was protected there… and he is very much into the Valyrian look of the silver hair, so he wanted to see it. He was betrayed by the white worm, who usually has his back but now she works for Otto. He wasn’t as safe as he thought he was there. Just my opinion

I do not know the source material, so I may be wrong but I don't think that "tea" was from the King. Viserys had just unceremoniously dismissed Otto as Hand and Otto and Arch Maester Mellos have been in cahoots from the beginning. I think Otto is trying to assassinate Rhaenyra. That way the path is clear for Aegon to be named heir. DO NOT DRINK THAT "TEA", Sis!! That ain't supposed to purge you of a baby, that's intended to purge you of life. ☠️

On "Inside the episode" the showrunners were clear: Daemon didn't stop himself, he just couldn't uh, perform. What they depicted here was essentially (in their words) ABUSE. Daemon took care to keep them disguised prior to entering the pleasure house. Watch the scene again, he purposely removes her hat and loses his hood, makes sure everyone notices who they are. If Daemon cared about Rhaenyra's "maidenhood", feelings, or safety, why take her there, make certain they were seen, and then just abandon her? You don't take your naive, somewhat sheltered royal teenaged niece into the shadiest parts of King's Landing, remove her disguise, and then just leave her to fend for herself if you care for her. Anyone could have taken advantage of or harmed her once he disappeared. If Daemon truly loves Rhaenyra for herself, why didn't he just ask the King for her hand outright? Why risk her reputation and safety at all? I'm sure Daemon is attracted to & cares for her in his way, but his motives were definitely not great here.

Ashley

From what I got out of it they said he couldn’t perform because he felt guilty felt bad about it

Daemon definitely revealed who they were in the brothal so that it would be reported to Otto. And he definitely wanted to have sex with her but Daemon isn’t stupid. He stopped (maybe because of an impotence issue) but also so that they could say they didn’t do anything but he knew Otto would run to Viserys and accuse them anyway.

Chandra

I don’t believe that tea came from Viserys for one second. Otto and the maester work together. And as Otto just lost his title as Hand he’s even more focused on making sure Aegon is made heir.

Waka Flocha Flame

You could say Rhaenyra had a… one knight stand😏

2023-01-22 20:15:08 It's interesting, the idea that Daemon took Rhaenyra to the pleasure house to discredit her is one that I had not considered & it is highly likely, especially given that he suddenly resisted; but it's also possible that he's playing hard to get, making her chase him. After all, we always want what we can't have the most, and also we have to remember Rhaenyra's view of sex. Its not a positive one given what happened to her mother. It scared her deeply. Daemon was also showing her that Sex can be positive. As to Ser Cole, he is in a very difficult position (No pun intended). He obviously wanted it, yes, but while as you point out he really can't as Kings Guard, he also can't really say no. She is the crown princess. If he were to refuse she could easily have him executed Also: "His will be the song of Ice and Fire." Taken to mean the war with the Night King, but I would farther point out that Prophacies often have twisted meanings. Jon Snow was born of Stark of the North & Targaryen, Ice &;Fire.... Just saying. And What if Rhaenyra Does become Pregnant & it's Ser Coles, but everyone Thinks its Daemons?! *Flails*
