** SPOILERS FOR THIS EPISODE ** Fans : ...they teased his survival immediately after the show "killed him" so lets spend two years creating elaborate fan theories about the ways he could have survived and made his way to Russia... Stranger Things writers : Let's just have him jump down off that platform. That should be good enough.

I get what you mean, although it's kind of on the fans on that one for letting speculation become expectation. BUT the show promoters should not have had his reveal confirmed in a trailer to begin with.

It's clear to me that Hopper literally "hopped" through the gate and woke up in Russia.. if you don't know how that's possible, that's on you! the writers did a pretty good job of explaining it with out baby feeding it to you.

They're definitely going Nightmare On Elm Street with this Victor Creel dark Swap Thing looking MF. Nightmare On Elm Street meets Hellraiser meets upside down lol. When I saw season 1, I thought it was The Goonies meets E.T meets Silent Hill lol. That skating rink scene seemed far fetched to me. No adults to stop that from happening. Especially when blond jock boy calling Eddie and Hellfire club devil worshipers. It seems like Victor Creel feeds on teens who are being tormented in some way whether abuse or they feel their to blame that something bad happened. It seems he's feeding on their torment and feels like one of the kids are going to be next. I have some predictions but not going to share them yet. They have definitely up the ante for the final season.

Oh my devil, while watching this episode with your reaction, on one part, Nikki is moving and talking normal as on my screen but Steven was like still, not moving yet I can hear him talk, but his mouth not moving. Like freeze frame like. I can hear Steven talking, but still and mouth not moving while the countdown is moving as normal and Nikki moving and talking as normal but not Steven. Some seconds later, everything back to normal and so is Steven. Oooooooooo lol Not a good time to experience some kind of glitching like that while watching Stranger Things 😆

That's cool, friend, you are certainly free to go with fan theories from before S04E02 was actually released. Honestly, it would have made for a much more interesting story. If it did happen that way I can't imagine why they wouldn't have given us time with Hopper in the Upside Down. Especially considering this season's extended episode lengths. Unfortunately nothing in the show nor any discussion or follow-up summary I've seen of the show support anything except that he dropped off the platform and was nabbed by the Russians there in the facility after waking up.

It's a *relatively* minor thing, but i'd like to make a suggestion if i may. Would it be possible for the sync-timer to count up from the start of the video rather than counting down from the end? Sadly the countdown isn't all that useful when it comes to syncing the videos :)
