I wonder if Harrison killing Dexter is what pushes him over the edge to becoming a killer, like Dexter. And yes, Nikki, I also noticed Harrison turning to the side and screaming 'Shut up' at someone, seemed like he wasn't talking to Dexter. Was it his 'dark passenger'? This was definitely a satisfying ending for Dexter, for me, but if there was a spin off with Harrison with Dexter as his dark passenger, I would totally watch it. The kid who played Harrison is amazing...

Alot of ppl hate this ending.. I thought it was ok. Didn't like the cliche moments though, but eh what are you gonna do?

It felt forced, predictable. Dexter acting out of character and killing Logan. Stuff like that. Some also say it was worst than last finale.

Well people say, he would've talked his way out. He had no reason to get so drastic etc. I thought it was in character imo but I did not like somethings but it was well done nonetheless

Alas I found that finale particularly underwhelming, to think it's all come to this I just don't know.....

I mean Dex knew that it was only a matter of time for things to get worse now that he knew Batista was on his way. His #1 rule of the code was not to get caught, which means murdering the person who's in the way of that..which is why he almost killed Laguerta. So imo he wasn't out of character then and he wasn't now. My only issue is the way Harrison turned on him in the end so suddenly. THAT to me felt forced.

I think it was in his character too but some people think it wasn't and he would have been able to squirm his way out, without killing Logan. Yeah, I did not like the last like 10 minutes of it. Another problem I hear ppl talk about is how Dexter used M99 and not Ketamin to put his victims down.

I am satisfied with this mini series over all of Season 8... but still felt a little bummed on how it all wrapped up. The writing was "good not great" majority of the time but this finale was rushed & pacing was off especially the last like 20 mins. DEXTER as the show deserved a GREAT ending to this character and didn't get that both times but I'll say there was a better 'conclusion' this time around

Wow!! A part of me wishes that I didn’t feel this coming from like the last six episodes because it wasn’t a feeling of being stunned or shocked…. it was almost a feeling of inevitability…. but maybe that’s exactly how it should feel. It was really the only conclusion that truly could’ve been authentic. They did a fantastic job developing the theme and vibe to a new version of his character and I’m very thankful they made this last chapterz If I had one gripe… I felt a bit out of character and force towards the end and probably could’ve been written with a little bit more tension but again maybe bwxauae I could see it coming a mile away. I only wish we were just get to see him with Batista. Maybe see some news coverage of him being caught; various characters from the past, seeing it play out in the news. Other than that it was a fun and crucial 10 episodes!

LOL I wrote the above comment before I finished watching your review and you had the exact same feeling that I did on the news! Like exactly to the point exactly. I could literally hear it in my head as I was typing it but I wanted to feel the magnitude and doing a news reel would have helped. I didn’t want to add see you that I am very thankful that they cleared up the dark passenger issue that I had with Harrison because he never came off like a clear-cut medical definition of a psychopath. Dexter has a lot of those tendencies of being a loner; of not having emotional connection with people; having to distance and fake normal every day life. And it wasn’t adding up to what he was trying to force on Harrison, because Harrison having bad anger problems never said this kid has the dark passenger and could be a serial killer. THANK you too for the added visual! really helpful to keep up, wven having the logo cover it ot is far easier to sync and fix when things go wrong.

Exactly, Harrison was a traumatized vulnerable kid with anger issues, with good reason... he didn't need to "channel his passenger" he needed therapy :P
